Buying new taping tools is an exciting and important business decision. The good news for drywall contractors is that the marketplace is now home to numerous brands and new tools. The increased presence of manufacturers brings about innovation, and a greater sense of competition amongst the different manufacturers. Drywall tool buyers now have a wider range of choices, more competitive pricing, more comprehensive warranties, and improvements to the tools themselves. All-Wall Equipment is proud to offer these benefits to you through our wide selection of tools.

Every manufacturer that All-Wall carries features high quality, contractor grade, dependable tools. The differences between taping tools can be subtle, and we have instituted a rating system to help differentiate between brands. However, there is more to consider than just a rating system when purchasing tools, starting with your experience level. New users can have confidence that ANY brand of tool All-Wall carries will perform at the highest level of expectation.

Experience Level
Drywallers that have been operating automatic taping tools for any length of time have a feel for the equipment that keeps the operation profitable. For many, keeping the same style of tool is the most important factor in choosing the brand for a new tool. It is a requirement to be at least as productive with the new tools as the old tools. Differences in operation or feel of a tool can lead to frustrating time losses. For this reason, All-Wall does not recommend changing "styles" for experienced users. Generally, the style categories consist of the following brands:

Style 1 Style 2
Ames
TapeTech
Columbia
Drywall Master
NorthStar
Premier/BlueLine

Interchangeability
There are numerous standards between the tool manufacturers All-Wall handles.
1. Flat Boxes work with any brand handle
2. Flat Boxes/Angle Boxes/Nail Spotters can be filled with any brand Pump and Box Filler
3. Angle Heads fit any brand Angle Head Handle/Angle Box
4. Pumps will fit any Gooseneck or Box Filler
5. Any Style 1 Gooseneck will fill any Style 1 Taper
